NFL Predictions- Week 6

Well another mediocre week, but lets see how things turn out in week 6. Current record is 50-26 straight up and an awful 37-39 ATS.

BENGALS (-5.5) over Texans- The only thing that worries someone here is a letdown game by the Bengals who seem to play up and down to their level of competition. Numbers say the Bengals should just cover over a fading Texans team. Bengals 27 Texans 20

Lions (+13.5) over PACKERS- This should be one of the last weeks where Detroit is that type of underdog. They are able to score some points for the backdoor cover and are nowhere near as bad as last season. Packers have no defense and are going to get their QB killed if the O-line does not improve. Packers 36 Lions 27

JAGUARS (-9.5) over Rams- Maybe the Jaguars give another non-effort, but even that should be enough to win. Maybe not cover, but win. Rams are awful. Jaguars 30 Rams 14

RAVENS (+2.5) over Vikings - The Ravens have pulled up lame two weeks in a row and need to rethink what they are doing on offense, but if Flacco cuts down on the turnovers there is no reason why they should lose to the Vikings. Really rough matchup for Minnesota who is clearly a class below the other undefeated teams. Ravens 33 Vikings 28

SAINTS (-2.5) over Giants- Both teams are tough to predict since the schedules have been relatively easy, but thus far New Orleans has been the more dominant team, particularly on defense. Numbers say Saints should romp. Saints 29 Giants 19

STEELERS (-13.5) over Browns - Is it possible to have a less impressive first win than the Browns did last week in Buffalo? Unlikely they even move the ball on this team. If they move it a little the Steelers dont do enough to cover, but odds are they wont move it at all on the road, where the Browns average less than 6 ppg. Steelers 24 Browns 3

Panthers (-3.5) over BUCCANEERS - Impossible game to judge because both teams are so bad. Tampa has been more consistently bad so Iíll go with the numbers that favor Carolina. Panthers 24 Buccaneers 10

REDSKINS (-6.5) over Chiefs- Washington should have won last week and will win this week. The question is can they cover? My head says no, but the stats say they should do so. I have a feeling they wont....Redskins 19 Chiefs 9

Eagles (-13.5) over RAIDERS- The Raiders just flat out stink and the Eagles eat up on teams like this. Philadelphia loves to run the score up early and will have no problems doing that on the Raiders home turf. Oakland is likely already looking forward towards trying to beat the Jets. Eagles 37 Raiders 6

SEAHAWKS (-2.5) over Cardinals- A game Arizona needs in the worst way and has a chance to get, but the Seahawks are much more efficient at home than on the road. Probably much lower scoring than people anticipate here. Seahawks 19 Cardinals 16

PATRIOTS (-9.5) over Titans- Im not even sure you can give Tennessee a chance in this game. Unless Vince Young found some magic sitting on the bench the last year this is a no contest. Patriots 27 Titans 14

JETS (-9.5) over Bills- The Bills scored 3 points against the Cleveland Browns. Think about that for a second. Everyone scores on Cleveland. Not the Bills. Jets should take out all their aggression on Trent Edwards. Jets 27 Bills 7

Bears (+3.5) over FALCONS- Atlanta coming off a huge high in San Francisco faces a much tougher opponent in Chicago. Bears will like to make a statement on national TV since they laid a dud their first go around. Should be tight with Chicago proving to be a bit better. Bears 23 Falcons 21

Broncos (+4.5) over CHARGERS- Hard to believe the Broncos get such little respect here, but San Diego is desperate and Denver is coming off a huge emotional high. Denver is the better team and will prove it Monday night if they dont have the hangover game. Broncos 24 Chargers 16
