S Kerry Rhodes, a 4th round selection, agreed to terms with the New Yorks Jets on July 25, 2005. Rhodes was given a $412,000 signing bonus and will earn $230,000(2005), $350,000(2006), $435,000(2007) and $520,000(2008) in base salary.

Rhodes signed a 5 year 33.5 million dollar extension with 20 million dollars guaranteed on April 9, 2008. Rhodes will earn $522,000(2008), $700,000(2009), $2,780,000(2010), $2,425,000(2011), 3,500,000(2012), and 4,500,000(2013) in base salary. Rhodes will receive a 4 million dollar signing bonus and estimated roster bonuses of 9 million dollars in 2009, 2 million in 2010 and an estimated 3 million in other bonus money over the final three years of the deal.

Rhodes renegotiated his contract with the Jets in February 2009 to convert his 2009 roster bonus into an estimated 6.080 million dollar signing bonus and 2.92 roster bonus.

According to a report by Mike Florio Rhodes has 4.78 million in guarantees which are only guaranteed for injury only, reducing his dead cap hit from 12.6 million to 7.8 million if he is cut in early March.
